Professional Photographers:

  • All professional photographers must sign a photography agreement indicating that any photographs or video/film footage taken at Hershey Gardens will not be used for promoting commercial products or services.
  • Photography sessions must not interfere with the enjoyment of other guests and special events. 
  • All photographers/videographers and those being photographed must purchase general admission or be active members.
  • Balloons are not permitted inside Hershey Gardens or any of its buildings.
  • Product photography is not permitted.
  • Clothing changes and any temporary structures, i.e. pop-up tents, used for this purpose are not allowed.
  • Monopods and tripods are allowed outside with the exception of special events and at the discretion of the Manager on Duty. They are not permitted in the Butterfly Atrium at any time.
  • All photography is at the discretion of Hershey Gardens.
  • Professional photography sessions in the Butterfly Atrium are permitted after-hours only, with an additional fee, due to space constraints. Contact Evan at [email protected] to learn more.

Drones (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles):

Hershey Gardens strictly prohibits the operation of or use of any unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as “Drones,” on, from, or above the property without specific written permission. This includes all UAVs regardless of size, weight, or purpose.

Please specify the exact property location and flight times.
Click “Next” on Page 2, Click “Submit” on Page 3.

Once submitted and reviewed, you will be sent a Location Release Agreement for signature. This document must be signed and returned with a Certificate of Insurance (COI). Important notes for the COI:
Insurance shall include, but is not limited to: (i) Commercial General Liability Insurance for limits of not less than Three Million Dollars combined single limit for each single occurrence and Five Million Dollars aggregate and (ii) Statutory Workers’ Compensation and Employer’s Liability Insurance in an amount not less than One Million Dollars. The Certificate of Insurance shall name “Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company and The M.S. Hershey Foundation” as an additional insured.
The certificate holder shall be listed as Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company, 27 West Chocolate Avenue, Hershey, PA 17033.
Once all paperwork is received and approved, you will be emailed an HE&R Drone Use Permit.

Amateur Photographers:

  • Hershey Gardens encourages its guests to take casual photographs and videos of their visit for their own personal use. However, personal photographs and videos may not be used for commercial purposes.

Additional Requirement for Wedding Photographers:

  • Wedding parties that are not having a wedding ceremony and/or reception at Hershey Gardens but would like to come for photos must make a reservation by calling 717-580-5970 or emailing [email protected], so that photography does not overlap with a scheduled wedding.
