Hershey Gardens offers a variety of hands-on educational classes throughout the seasons. Led by Gardens staff and local experts, programs and classes are designed for students of all levels.

Manada Conservancy presents “For the Love of Groundcovers”
Thursday, April 11 at 7 p.m.

Ian Gardner of Green Gardner Designs will discuss the many benefits and options for planting native groundcovers in your home landscape. Some of the featured varieties will be available through the Manada Conservancy online native plant store, which is open through April 15, or at the in-person sale event on May 4. Daylilies: The Perfect Perennials
Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Join daylily hybridizer Stuart Kendig and discover why they are a great plant for your garden, learn exciting new colors and patterns, and following his presentation, learn how to properly dig up and divide daylilies with our garden crew and receive a unique daylily (estimated $20 value) to take home.

Manada Conservancy presents “Climate Change and Penns Woods”
Thursday, September 26 at 7 p.m.
Join Greg Czarnecki, Director of Applied Climate Science with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, to look at the current and projected impacts of climate change globally, in the U.S. and here in Pennsylvania. He will also relay how one state agency, DCNR, is adapting to climate change to minimize the impact on state parks, state forests and the natural resources of the Commonwealth.
