Sample beers, learn about cooking with beer and watch a Colonial Brewing Demostration
In Europe, beer is commonly enjoyed in outdoor garden settings. Hershey Gardens will provide a taste of this long tradition at the 2nd annual Biergarten celebration on Sunday, April 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. Guests can sample beer from many regional microbreweries as well as enjoy live music from the popular Baltimore band The Crawdaddies.
Other activities will include Old World beer making and a “Cooking with Beer” class led by well-known area chef Charlie Gipe. Food samples and concessions will be available or guests may choose to feast on a unique pre-packed ‘Beer Barrel’ picnic basket. Baskets, for two to share, are $15 and should be ordered in advance.
Biergarten tickets are $35 each and include a special commemorative pilsner beer glass. Please call 717-298-2208 to order. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
Must be 21 years or older. This fundraising event will support initiatives to preserve and maintain Hershey Gardens. Rain or shine.
