Adult & Family Programs
Hershey Gardens offers a variety of adult and family educational programs and classes throughout the seasons. Led by Gardens staff and local experts, programs and classes are designed for students of all levels.
Tiny Seeds Family Yoga Program
Saturday March 3, 10, 17 and 24
Non-members: $12 per class (juniors), Members: $8 per class (juniors)
In this fun family-style yoga class, children and their caregivers will learn breathing exercises, yoga poses and mindfulness by using storytelling and playful yoga-based activities. Activities are for children ages 3 - 8, and include family/child yoga poses and games, reading a story book and quiet music with relaxation at the end of class.
Please bring a yoga mat, beach towel or blanket for each participant. No previous yoga experience required. Class instructed by Lindsay Curtin. Classes will be held in the Milton & Catherine Hershey Conservatory.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
$12 for juniors (per class: non-members). $8 for juniors (per class: members). Accompanying adults pay Gardens admission only (adult members are free). Tickets are limited and include admission to the Gardens for the day.

Easter "Kids' Table" Centerpiece

Create a fun and whimsical mini centerpiece for the Easter children's table and watch the kids (or the young at heart) struggle to hold themselves back - it's a decoration and a snack! This class is designed with youngsters in mind, and it's main aim is fun. All supplies and materials are provided. Entry into the Gardens and Butterfly Atrium for the day is included. Led by Jody Davey, Hershey Gardens Horticulturist.
Advanced registration is required prior to the class and can be completed online. Ticket is for the completion of one arrangement - up to two (2) juniors are welcome to work on the arrangement together with one accomapnying adult. All children must be accomapnied by an adult.

Basics of Floral Arranging - Roses

A dozen roses in a vase is a thing of beauty, especially when the arrangement has been professionally designed. This class will reveal tips and tricks of the florist trade that will allow participants to create a stunning, perfectly balanced dozen rose arrangement that looks fresh from the florist's design table. All supplies and materials are provided. Entry into the Gardens and Butterfly Atrium for the day is included. Led by Jody Davey, Hershey Gardens Horticulturist.

Tuesday, November 20 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM
Non-members: $75, Hershey Gardens members: $70
In this class, we will create a Thanksgiving centerpiece in bold fall colors to bring that perfect decorative touch to your holiday table. Jewel tone reds, oranges, purples and chartreuse greens combining for the perfect pop of fall color, with depth, shape and texture being added through the use of greens and foliage sourced from the Gardens. Acorns, pinecones, sweet gum and other seed pods, and strategic use of fruits and vegetables add even more interest to the design. All supplies and materials are provided. Led by Jody Davey, Hershey Gardens Horticulturist.

Saturday, December 8 at 10:30 AM
Non-members: $65, Hershey Gardens Members: $55
Last fall and winter in the Gardens is a time for fall cleanup and winter pruning. The limbs, twigs, pods and other "compost" collected during these activities provide wonderful materials for winter decor, and when carefully arranged, can be used to create a stunning, long-lasting fresh wreath. Each participant will create a 24+ inch wreath from fresh Garden trimmings, prunings and other natural objects found from the Gardens. All supplies and materials are provided. Led by Jody Davey, Hershey Gardens Horticulturist.
